Sustainability management
culture and media

“The future we want has to be invented. Otherwise we'll get one that we don't want. "

Joseph Beuys

Culture and the media have always been drivers of change. They question the status quo, direct our attention to the unnoticed and point the finger at socio-political imbalances. The arts and culture have a clear educational mandate; their actions function as multipliers. They are places of encounter, learning and understanding.

At the same time, as a business enterprise, they are equally in demand when it comes to sustainability - that is, taking responsibility and responding to the climate crisis, addressing challenging social dimensions and developing strategies for the future.

Many cultural institutions already show awareness, motivation, enthusiasm and the first sustainability measures are in progress. What is usually missing, however, is a professional strategic approach to the elaboration of key topics. Where are our weak points, what impact do we have on the environment, the people, our surroundings, where can we improve, what is relevant?

Our solution is strategic sustainability management: Goal-oriented and with a focus on action.

In detail: Identify and develop topics and measures, evaluate them according to their relevance, determine responsibilities and thus give a solid foundation, structure and direction to the transformation.

In close collaboration we determine your status quo, define goals, develop measures and build individual action plans. We develop appropriate next steps and work out practical measures. And we discuss progress and obstacles in the implementation process whenever you want to.

We aim at empowerment instead of regulation. The joint project provides short-term impulses, stimulates the process, provides a network of active actors and launches the transformation towards sustainability. Our approach is to empower actors from the cultural and media sector to carry out the necessary change themselves. Through cooperation, they are capable of establishing the measures in their organisation and successively developing them further. The modular structure enables a step-by-step implementation path and allows for an individual pace.

As much cooperation as necessary, as much individuality as possible.
